In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. At 4 years old I watched a re-airing of Michael Jackson’s Motown 25 performance and saw the moonwalk for the first time. It felt magical. That moment made me want to create music that gives people that same feeling. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Brandy, Full Moon Lupe Fiasco, Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor Tank, Sex, Love & Pain Brandy’s Full Moon, Tank’s Sex, Love & Pain, and Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor. Those albums shaped my ear early on—I first mimicked their sound before finding my own voice as an artist and songwriter. I wrote it after stepping away from music for over a year and almost quitting. The track reignited my passion and reminds me how far I’ve come every time I hear it. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Writing for TGT on their Three Kings album was a defining moment. Contributing to a project with artists I grew up listening to felt surreal and confirmed that the years of work were paying off. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Winning a Grammy and collaborating with my musical heroes would be incredible, but my biggest goal is to inspire and give back. Creating music that gives someone else the same magical feeling I had watching Michael Jackson as a kid.
