About Whitney Woerz

Making her debut at the age of 15, singer/songwriter Whitney Woerz crafts affirmative pop with a dash of guitar twang, like a combination of early Taylor Swift and R&B-influenced vocalists like Alessia Cara and Tori Kelly. The New Yorker began recording her first effort in early 2015. Produced by Glenn Rosenstein (U2, Madonna), the Behind the Smile EP arrived later that year and included the viral hit "6 Second Love" and "Ghost Story," about a friend living with depression. Her dedication to the issue led to her position as teen ambassador for Bring Change 2 Mind, a charity dedicated to reducing the stigma surrounding mental health struggles. That same year, Woerz also released Live from Muscle Shoals: The Fame Sessions, a covers collection of songs by the likes of X Ambassadors, Troye Sivan, Shawn Mendes, Bon Iver, and more, recorded at Fame Studios. In 2017, Woerz issued the upbeat single "Idea of Her." ~ Neil Z. Yeung, Rovi
