About Useless ID

Formed in Haifa, Israel, in 1994, Useless ID is one of the few Israeli punk bands to experience major success in the States. The group started out with a pair of independently released albums and then toured extensively for the next five years, taking six trips in all to North America. In 1999, they got their first big break, when the Ataris' frontman Kris Roe invited them to record a split record for Kung Fu Records. That label released Useless ID's next three albums, 2001's Bad Story Happy Ending, 2003's No Vacation from the World, and 2005's Redemption. After the follow-up, 2008's The Lost Broken Bones, and a collaboration with Muki, the lead singer/rapper from Shabak Samech, the group signed to Fat Wreck Chords for 2012's Symptoms. In 2016, the band released a tough, back-to-basics set, State Is Burning, once again distributed in North America by Fat Wreck Chords. ~ Jason Lymangrover
