Stygian Stride

New York improvisational artist Jimy SeiTang moved away from the psychedelic indie rock scrawl of the band Psychic Ills for his synthesizer-based solo output, recorded under the name Stygian Stride. Resembling a cross between John Carpenter and Suicide, analog gear and repetition guided the raw, wintery mood of his first, self-titled album, released on Thrill Jockey in 2013. ~ Jason Lymangrover
