About Stefan

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was 8, my guitar teacher Jack Montcrief lent me albums by Chuck Berry and BB King and had me learn their solos by ear! What a great thing for a teacher to do! It helped develop my ears, learn from the greats, and feel empowered to improvise! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Atmospheres of Space, Ambient Works: Soundscapes from the Brian Eno Nebula Brooklyn Raga Massive, Terry Riley in C Steve Reich and Musicians, Steve Reich: Sextet - Six Marimbas These albums inspired me to "slow down," work with less to create more, and to explore minimalism, ambient music, and electronic/acoustic sounds. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Psalm IV” Robert Godin introduced me to the Inuk, an 11-string instrument with a haunting sound, which inspired me this album, that explores the connection to the Universe through sound. Psalm IV combines the Inuk with synthesizers to foster deep meditation.
