About Split Refraction

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. MTV was my earliest gateway for appreciating music productions, and I still love the marriage between music and video. In 6th grade, My mom took me to see Heart in concert, and later to see Billy Joel. They were the most exciting childhood events. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Beck, Hyperspace Cyndi Lauper, She's So Unusual Soul Coughing, Ruby Vroom She's So Unusual was the first tape I ever bought and I love the blend synth and natural sounds. Ruby Vroom, a favorite during my twenties, has a fantastic groove. Hyperspace represents awesome production techniques, especially "Uneventful Days". Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Heaven Or Hell For Her” This is Split Refraction's debut single, an upbeat blend of acoustic and electronic sounds and beats with storytelling. This song captures a nervous energy, revealing unfortunate events which can (and do) occur when poor choices in life are made. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My most memorable career moment was being accepted to and enrolling in the Interdisciplinary Music Studies degree program at Berklee Online..The decision to dedicate myself to the study of songwriting, music and video production, and music business. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? My bucket list is for my music to have a life of its own and leave a legacy for my family. I'm focused on building a substantial catalog for sync licensing, earning placements in film, television, and digital radio to ensure this work endures.
