SoFaygo blends metallic vocals, animated flows, and adventurous soundbeds to render raw feelings in striking Technicolor. Born Andre Dontrel Burt Jr. in Grand Rapids in 2001, Faygo planned to become a rapper since telling his mother as much while he was still in preschool. After relocating to Georgia, he fell in love with the sounds of Usher, Ludacris, and Missy Elliott before he uploaded his first song to the web at age 14. By 2017, he had released the EPs We Are Aliens and Goonland, using a punchier style. While these projects got him some attention, it was 2019’s Lil Tecca-produced single “Knock Knock” that propelled him to stardom. Laced with vibrant keys and careening melodies, the track promptly went viral, and he soon signed a record deal with Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack label. From there, he continued his level-up, unloading vibrant efforts like Angelic 7 (2020), B4pink (2022), and Pink Heartz (2022). In the process, he’s presented his emotions and dexterous flows with a rare adventurous flair.
