Skip Scarborough, a songwriter, producer, arranger, and keyboardist, has a résumé that lists several R&B classics spanning the '70s and '80s. His hits as a songwriter include LTD's "Love Ballad," Earth, Wind & Fire's "Can't Hide Love," the Emotions' "Don't Ask My Neighbors," Phyllis Hyman's "Living Inside Your Love," and Anita Baker's "Giving You the Best That I've Got." Early in his career, Scarborough was the musical director for the 5th Dimension-flavored vocal group Creative Source, who charted with the original version of "Can't Hide Love" in 1973. He also played keyboards on that group's records, as well as Donald Byrd's Places and Spaces and Caricatures, and Azar Lawrence's People Moving. ~ Ed Hogan
