Shannon Wright

American songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and performer Shannon Wright makes songs of burning, controlled intensity, often driven by the crackle of loud guitars and lyrics born of raw emotional exploration. Wright began releasing solo albums in the late '90s, working with the Quarterstick branch of Touch & Go for many years on releases like 1999's Flightsafety and 2001's Dyed in the Wool. In addition to her regular touring and recording schedule, Wright has also worked on film scores over the years and collaborated with artists such as French composer Yann Tiersen and indie chamber group Rachel's. Wright's solo output has remained consistent from the start, and her sound continues to evolve on her 11th album, Reservoir of Love, released in 2025.
