About Shana Wilson

Shana Wilson is a contemporary gospel singer, songwriter, and worship leader at Community Christian Fellowship Ministries, the Detroit-based church founded by her parents, Samuel and Lady "J" Wilson. After studying gospel and classical music at Morgan State University, she won Vickie Winans' New Rising Star contest in 2006 and released her debut album, The Nations Are Waiting, two years later. Wilson's 2012 live album, I Love You Live, proved to be somewhat of a breakout, yielding the hit singles "Give Me You" and "Never Be the Same." A holiday EP, Christmas Time Is Here, appeared in late 2016 followed in early 2018 by the live album Everlasting. ~ Timothy Monger
