Born Sander Ketelaars in the Netherlands in 1979, van Doorn recorded his first offerings in 2004, initially leaning into a tech-trance style while also gaining fame as a prolific DJ. After earning further buzz by remixing popular singles like Arctic Monkeys’ “When the Sun Goes Down,” he consummated his rise with his 2008 debut album, Supernaturalistic. Preceded by his pulsing single “The Bass,” the project reaffirmed his knack for intricate rhythms.
