About Samuel Hasselhorn
Baritone Samuel Hasselhorn has been widely heard on operatic and concert stages since winning the 2018 Queen Elisabeth Competition in Belgium and other major prizes. In 2014, Hasselhorn released the album Nachtblicke. By the mid-2010s, Hasselhorn was landing major roles, including the lead in Viktor Ullmann's Der Kaiser von Atlantis at the Opera Studio of France's Lyon Opera during the 2015-2016 season. From 2018 to 2020, Hasselhorn was a cast member at the Vienna State Opera. He made a series of increasingly prestigious concert debuts in this period. Hasselhorn made his debut at the Musikverein in Vienna with the Vienna Symphony in Britten's War Requiem in 2021, under conductor Ivor Bolton. Hasselhorn released the album Schumann: Stille Liebe in 2020, following that up with Schubert: Glaube, Hoffnung, Liebe in 2022.
