Pet Fox have an impressive pedigree with bands like Ovlov and Palehound on their collective CV, and it's easy to see why the members were a vital part of said groups. On their own, the trio meticulously crank out indie rock that relies equally on subdued textures and crashing guitars to create a varied and rich listening experience. Their first couple of records, like 2019's Rare Occasion, found the band piecing together their sound in the studio with clock-like precision. After a move from self-releases to the Exploding in Sound label, they shifted their way of working, and on 2022's A Face in Your Life, the band recorded mostly live in the studio, which allowed for more skillful interplay between the members.
