About Paula Tsui

Paula Tsui is a beloved Cantopop singer whose career spans several decades. Born in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on January 1, 1948, she made her recording debut in 1969 in association with Crown Records. In subsequent years she would record albums for labels including Man Chi Records (1971-1973), Wing Hang Records (1973-1978), Sony Records (1978-1981), Contec Records (1982-1986), and PolyGram Records (1986-1990). She was also long affiliated with the Hong Kong television station TVB. Though she stopped releasing albums of new material in the 1990s, a steady stream of compilations was released, and she continued to perform live. Most famously, she performed 43 concerts in 37 days at Hong Kong Coliseum in 1992. ~ Jason Birchmeier
