English songwriter, rapper, and producer One Acen provides the streets of London and beyond with evocative songs that double as party anthems. Born Abdul-Azeez Dabiri in 1991, the artist was raised in the northern town of Tottenham, where he began rapping as a teenager. After releasing independent underground projects, One Acen hit his stride musically as a collaborator. His breakthrough feature, on fellow London artist Hardy Caprio’s 2017 single “Unsigned,” saw the MC refining his melodic, yet hardened style, while leaving a bit of room for experimentation. On his 2018 debut album, SexyOddRose, One Acen worked with Hardy Caprio again, crafting the summery “EIO,” which showcased One Acen’s buoyant rhyming style and penchant for flexing.
