Mr. Complex

Queens, NY-based rapper Corey S. Roberts, AKA Mr. Complex, has been showing up on DJ mix tapes since around 1995 with his own singles and appearing with others. His intelligent yet clear vocals attracted numerous fans, and the year 2000 saw the release of his debut LP, Complex Catalog, closely followed by Hold This Down in 2001. Roberts passed away in Queens on February 7, 2026. ~ Brad Mills
