In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My first time holding a Gibson J-200 was when I was five. My friend's father, who taught me my first chords, had one. It took me 30 years, but a couple of decades ago at 35, I finally got one, and it's my favorite acoustic Gibson that I own. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bob Dylan, Blonde On Blonde Leon Russell, Leon Russell and the Shelter People Remastered The Beatles, Abbey Road (Remastered) These are amazing albums from start to finish, the writing, the recordings, performances. Does it get better than any of the Beatles, Bob Dylan, or Leon Russell? I don't think so. It was very hard to choose three here. Tell us why you chose this song. “Standing Too Close” Lost 3 former collaborators and dear friends to suicide, Vince Welnick, Stan Rawls, Bob Welch. This song exorcised the demons left behind by those indelible events that changed who I am forever. Beautiful string orchestration, raw emotions, & relief. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My years performing with Merl Saunders in front of tens of thousands at the Haight Street Fair shows or other venues like The Fillmore, Great American Music Hall, Maritime Hall and others in San Francisco are shows I will never forget. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I don't care about sales, or fame, or fortune. I'm at a good age where I can make music for its own sake, release it, and make more. I have a short and long list of people I hope to make more "& Friends" albums with, and I am chipping away at it.
