About JusBREATHE
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Being in the studio with my brother, the man who raised me and taught me everything I know. He was the first to encourage me musically and he continues to have the most faith in me than anyone I know. There's no JusBREATHE without the Truth InRhyme. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Aaliyah, Ultimate Aaliyah Jon Bellion, The Human Condition Selena, The Last Concert (Live from Astrodome) Aaliyah & Selena are the reasons I grew up a singer/dancer. Jon is my brother from another mother. RENT The Musical would be next, it's the first musical I fell in love with. They all remind me of my soul’s mission. Their art keeps me grounded. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “You Set Me Free” This is my song to God. I released it the day of my Titi Madeline’s funeral. Recorded in my closet, on my iPhone on BandLab, with Apple headphones. Wasn't aiming for perfection, just wanted to be real with myself & God. It's a testimony in many ways. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I recorded Therapy Sessions EP while living in a shelter and pregnant with my first born. Extremely proud of myself for never letting my circumstances keep me from what I know is my destiny/mission. The EP is under my old artist name, Alexis Rivera. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I just need to harmonize with Tori Kelly in the studio and write a song with Jon Bellion…and vice versa.
