Shortly thereafter I got to see Miles Davis with Mike Stern and Marcus Miller, another very formative concert event at an early age. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Jeff Beck, Jeff Beck with the Jan Hammer Group Live Shakti, Natural Elements (With John McLaughlin) Yes, Yessongs (Live) Remastered These 3 albums got me into wanting to become a guitarist. Steve Howe, Jeff Beck and John McLaughlin inspire me to this day. They are raw and explosive in their styles, and not afraid to hit a "bad" note in favor of pure and direct expression. Tell us why you chose this song. “Moonlight Mesa” This song showcases the explosive soloing style that I admire in players such as Jeff Beck, Steve Howe and also Zappa. It is a little on the heavy side, compared to my next release "August" (release: spring of 2024), but I still like it a lot.
