About Jim James

Although chiefly known as the frontman of My Morning Jacket, Jim James has appeared on albums by the likes of Bright Eyes and M. Ward while also pursuing a solo career. He made his solo debut with Tribute To (2009), a collection of George Harrison covers. For Regions of Light and Sound of God (2013), he played all the instruments, sang all vocals, and produced. He contributed to the New Basement Tapes, a group of studio collaborators who issued a compilation of Bob Dylan songs titled Lost on the River. James resumed his role with My Morning Jacket for The Waterfall (2015) and shortly thereafter released his second solo album, the gritty and tense Eternally Even (2016).
