In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was only four years old, I would stand on my tip toes to play a VHS tape of music videos. This tape featured Big Daddy Kane's "Smooth Operator" which left me enthralled about Hip Hop as a genre and culture since then. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Ice Cube, Death Certificate Snoop Dogg, Doggystyle Steel Pulse, Earth Crisis I chose these 3 albums because of the pivotal role each played in helping me to find and develop my own unique voice in music. From the themes each release centered on to the way in which they were executed, each of these are simply timeless. Tell us why you chose this song. “Mic Check 1-2” This was my first singe after being away from music for the better part of nine years. It tells a bit of my story in an almost conversational way which is what I aimed for to connect with listeners as best possible. Response to this song was great!
