In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My musical pulse was born in Azua with a tambora my mother gave me at age two. That rhythm was sealed with a güira from Santo Domingo's Mercado Modelo, the two instruments that would ultimately define my sound and my identity. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Flow Celestial, Bailando el Perreo - Single Flow Celestial, Tengo El Sonido - Single Flow Celestial, Vibran Las Chapas - Single These tracks are my DNA. "Tengo El Sonido" is my root, my flow from Azua. "Bailando el Perreo" and "Vibran Las Chapas" are the evolution of that sound, taking it to the street and the club, where my music truly comes alive. As a newcomer, the global star Stacie Orrico believed in me and recorded this track with me. Her generosity and talent showed me that music has no borders and gave me the confidence to move forward with my career. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Receiving the 2009 Compostela Award for 'Best Local Artist' was unforgettable. There's no greater honor than being recognized in your own home, in Azua. That moment gave me the faith and strength to take my sound beyond my borders. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? My biggest dream is to use my global platform to give back to my homeland. I long to create a music festival in Azua that inspires local talent and connects my roots with the world, showing that my heart will always be back home.
