I have vivid memories of riding in my dad's '77 Monte Carlo down Mission Street in San Francisco, California, with the sounds of Heavy D, Salt-N-Pepa, and Run-DMC filling the air. Why did you choose these three albums in particular? 2Pac, Me Against the World Brenton Wood, Brenton Wood's 18 Best Chalino Sánchez, Nieves de Enero (feat. Los Amables Del Norte) I grew up in a Mexican household where music was always present, especially during Saturday morning cleaning sessions. My musical influences spanned various genres, including corridos (Mexican ballads), oldies, rancheras, and hip-hop. Tell us why you chose this song. “I Am Grateful” I wrote this song as a reminder that happiness and responsibility are inward. It dawned on me that to attract the abundance I envision, I first need to cultivate gratitude for the love, family, health, career, and wealth I already possess. -EW
