About Elisa Peimer

Elisa Peimer grew up in and near New York City and some of that city's spirit shows up in her music. Some of it shows up in Peimer too, in her never-say-die attitude at life and her musical career. A gifted singer, songwriter, and musician, Peimer slowly built her loyal fan base one club and festival at a time. Her fans increased with the release of her debut EP, which confusingly enough happens to be titled EP. It carries four tracks, including "Leave the Light On," "Lullaby," and "Leaving Here Tomorrow." Peimer's debut EP caught the attention of some pretty important people in the music business. Tunes from the recording ended up on one of the Beavis & Butthead DVDs and on three different popular soap operas: Another World, As the World Turns, and the Guiding Light. She also went into talks with producers to have some of her later songs used in prime time teen shows like Dawson's Creek and Party of Five. In 1999, Peimer was given the ASCAP Popular Award. For 2000 she released her first full-length album, Shed the Skin. "Last Train to Baltimore," "A Little Too Soon," "Lose My Way," and "Cellar Door" are some of the pop melodies laced with rock and even a touch of country, that fans will find of the album. ~ Charlotte Dillon
