In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My mom played Dan Fogelberg, Simon & Garfunkel, Gordon Lightfoot ect. after I went to bed. I’d sneak her CDs to school, scratch them up, and get caught. First one I had to rebuy was The Essentials" by S&G and she let me keep it after I paid for it. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Dan Fogelberg, Portrait: The Music of Dan Fogelberg from 1972-1997 John Denver, Windsong Simon & Garfunkel, Bookends These albums bring me back to my childhood. I know every word to every song because they were played over and over by my mother, and also by me when I got my first Walkman. Their writing is a big influence on me and always has been. Tell us why you chose this song. “I Found Myself in California” I find it very difficult to write in the present, because I'm still living it. I guess I just need time to frame something, and the present doesn't have a frame yet. So it takes time to reflect and then put it into words. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The most memorable moment was reaching the Top 48 finals of America's Got Talent in 2011. That's something I will remember for the rest of my life. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Yes, there always will be something left to do. Headline a world tour, write with other hero's of mine in the business, ect.
