About Down With Webster
With their high-energy, melodic mishmash of pop-punk, rock, hip-hop, and EDM, Down With Webster’s songs have the kind of unbridled brashness you might expect from a group that got its start when its core members were still in junior high in the late ‘90s. In fact, Down With Webster were barely out of school when they started filling big venues in their Toronto hometown and garnering industry interest. Their breakout came in 2009 with the Hall & Oates-sampling “Rich Girl$” and “Your Man,” their first two hits after signing with Universal Motown. The band’s success continued with their 2014 album, Party For Your Life, and tours with Marianas Trench and Hoodie Allen. After a hiatus in the late 2010s—which was spent with Cameron Hunter, Patrick Gillett, Tyler Armes, and Andrew Martino performing in a spin-off band called Honors—Down With Webster reconvened to make 2021’s V, a set of songs that tempered the vitality and velocity of their earliest releases with a newfound emotional depth and dedication to craft.
