Doug Macleod

Blues artist Doug MacLeod earned an international reputation and won multiple awards for his tough, fleet-fingered guitar playing, his fluid bottleneck solos, and his impassioned and soulful vocal style. A versatile performer, MacLeod most often performs on acoustic guitar, but he's also well-versed in electric styles, as on 1984's No Road Back Home. He showed off his acoustic skills on 2023's Raw Blues 1 and showcased his slide work on 2015's Doug's Slide Guitar. Also a gifted songwriter and a magazine columnist, MacLeod offered a look at the full range of his abilities on 2025's Between Somewhere and Goodbye.
