In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I grew up in a musical household with a jazz pianist father and a mother that taught me piano. I played classical and jazz trumpet for 7 years, often playing 1st chair, and then began writing music. I started making EDM but now I make mostly hip hop. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Momentum (feat. Frederick James McCray & Curtis Stahl)” This is a song I wrote on my last album that features my father, Frederick James McCray, on the keyboard. I feel very fortunate to have such a talented father and I feel like this song's message of gaining momentum in life is what the world needs. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When I first started performing my own songs I met Lucas Faustino of Mire Studios, who then hired me to make the soundtrack for the Steam game "Battle Knights". I also remember winning best artist for Scholars of Africa and making a music video, too. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I still need to go on tour which would help me reach more fans and spread my message. But in the meantime, I want to make another music video and upgrade my live performances with lights and graphics. It also would be cool to win another award.
