About Chase & Status
The UK electronic duo Chase & Status combine drum ’n’ bass sounds with grand pop hooks, creating a fresh style that’s earned them tremendous respect in the modern dance world. • Saul Milton, aka Chase, and Will Kennard, aka Status, met while attending university in Manchester. They both dropped out to pursue music. • The duo first topped the UK Dance charts in 2007 with the soulful, fast-paced “Hurt You.” • Their 2008 debut album, More than Alot, is full of humor, quick beats, hip-hop funk, and eclectic noise. The LP was certified Gold in the UK. • Chase & Status’ 2011 sophomore album, No More Idols, reached No. 2 on the UK charts and was certified platinum. • In 2014, Status cofounded East London Arts & Music, a free school designed to help disadvantaged youth find careers in the music industry. • As of 2020, Chase & Status had notched eight Top 40 UK hits and collaborated with superstars like Nile Rodgers, Tinie Tempah, and Rihanna. • During live shows, Chase & Status are joined by Patrick Williams, aka MC Rage, and drummer Andy Gangadeen.
