Certified Trapper

One of the breakout stars of Milwaukee's thriving rap scene, Certified Trapper is known for his stream-of-consciousness rhymes, his self-edited videos, and his prolific work rate, sometimes exceeding a dozen mixtapes a year. He has received press coverage from major outlets like Pitchfork and Rolling Stone, and has been compared to fellow oddballs like Lil B and RXK Nephew. Though he began uploading music as a teenager during the mid-2010s, his career took off around 2021, when he began releasing mixtapes at a rapid pace, and some of his videos started earning attention online. He also struck up a partnership with Detroit rapper BabyTron, and the two have released several songs together. He received major-label distribution for releases like 2022's I'm Certified and 2023's Trapper of the Year, and continued issuing tracks like 2024's "Hole in His Neck."
