Caskets

Leeds rockers Caskets sport a melodic, synth-heavy sound combining elements of post-hardcore and emo with a poppy edge. Formed in 2018, originally under the name Captives, they were a "supergroup" of sorts, created by the best players in the local scene. Swiftly releasing the Ghost Like You EP and gigging extensively, they quickly built a loyal following and a large online listenership. Attracting interest from U.S. labels, they recorded a showcase session for a major digital radio provider, and ultimately signed with Nuclear Blast affiliate Sharptone Records. In 2021, they were forced to change their name from Captives owing to legal action taken by an Australian punk band of the same name. Their debut album Lost Souls was released later that same year.
