A member of the group Los Ninos Rebeldes, singer-songwriter Camilo won the Colombian youth talent competition El Factor Xs in 2007. ∙ “Desconocidos,” his 2008 breakthrough single, featured his future brothers-in-law Mau y Ricky, as well as Manuel Turizo. ∙ Camilo enjoyed a second career in television, making appearances on Colombian telenovelas and the children’s program Bichos before returning to music full time in 2014. ∙ A prolific songwriter, he’s cowritten tracks for Juanes (“Pa Dentro”), Bad Bunny (“Si Estuviésemos Juntos”), and Bomba Estéro (“Ayo”). ∙ Shakira guested on a remix of his 2019 quintuple-Platinum hit, “Tutu,” which also featured Pedro Capó and won Best Pop Song at the 2020 Latin Grammys. ∙ His 2020 LP, Por Primera Vez, topped Billboard’s Latin Pop Albums chart and was nominated for Best Latin Pop or Urban Album at the 2021 Grammy Awards.
