In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest memory of music was when I wrote and performed my first song on stage at the Hackney Empire when I was 12-I was very new to writing but the fact that I was able to perform my song on a big theatre stage was incredibly validating. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Jazmine Sullivan, Heaux Tales, Mo' Tales: The Deluxe Solange, A Seat at the Table Stevie Wonder, Innervisions Remastered Not one skip, sonically astonishing. Solange set the bar. Jazmine showed everyone how to make a come back after six years. Truly amazing. Not a single skip, that album makes me want to make music, right there and then. Tell us why you chose this song. “Double Love” DL Is such a special song to me because it not only speaks to me, but it speaks to a whole community. Almost feels like the song is beyond me and I love that feeling, it's not just my song to claim and relate too. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The most memorable moment in my career was definitely putting out my debut single 'Double Love'. It too what felt like a lifetime to put ti out, so when the time came It felt so satisfying and freeing. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I have so many things on my career bucket list it's starting to overflow, but I would really love to do a Zane Lowe interview on Apple Music. I love his love for music - he seems so personable and fun to be around.
