About Big Boss Vette
Big Boss Vette makes anthemic hip-hop that is as hard-hitting as it is motivational. Born Diamond Alexxis Smith in St. Louis in 1997, the artist first experimented with music in 2014, uploading an acclaimed cover of DeJ Loaf’s hit “Try Me” to the internet. Her mission was to grow a dedicated fan base through cover songs, and eventually original music, but a tragic loss in the family rerouted Big Boss Vette to a darker path. The MC found her way back to music in the late 2010s, reconnecting with a voracious audience after releasing audacious songs like 2020’s club-ready “Outside.” The New Orleans bounce-influenced “Snatched” and the empowering “Pretty Girls Walk”—both viral singles released in 2022—elevated Big Boss Vette as an ambitious artist plugged into the culture. Her debut EP, RESILIENCE, came in 2023, highlighted by the energetic “Fly Shhh” featuring Memphis rapper Gloss Up.
