About Bear's Den

A British band with Americana flowing through their veins, Bear’s Den has found an audience on both sides of the Atlantic with their lush brand of indie folk-rock. ∙ The band’s 2014 debut LP, Islands, spent 11 weeks on the UK charts and included the track “Above the Clouds of Pompeii,” which earned an Igor Novello Award nomination for Best Song. ∙ Bear’s Den first toured the US by van—along with Ben Howard, The Staves, and Nathaniel Rateliff—and their road trip was captured in the 2014 award-winning film Austin to Boston. ∙ Red Earth & Pouring Rain, their 2016 sophomore album, went all the way to No. 6 on the UK album charts. ∙ Famed composer/arranger Paul Frith (Radiohead, The xx) helped Bear’s Den reimagine several of their older tracks for the orchestral 2020 LP Fragments. ∙ Alongside Ben Lovett (of frequent touring partner Mumford & Sons) and producer Ian Grimble, Bear’s Den’s Kevin Jones runs the Communion label, which has issued all of the band’s releases.
