About Dustin Tebbutt

Part of a robust wave of intimate Australian singer/songwriter/producers that includes The Kite String Tangle and Woodes, Dustin Tebbutt (born in Armidale, though the year is a mystery) built a home studio to record his 2013 debut EP, The Breach. The title track became an instant breakthrough, introducing both a pure-spun falsetto and cozy indie-folk twang that spoke to such key influences as Bon Iver and Sigur Rós. Tebbutt has continued to self-produce and juggle instruments on his recordings ever since, including 2016’s lush, romantic album First Light. Since relocating to Melbourne, he has played equally well with others, bringing his signature crystalline melodies and warm vocal uplift to tracks like Flight Facilities’ electro-pop ballad “All Your Love” and the unhurried Gretta Ray duet “Stacks.” Tebbutt also co-founded the quartet Ok Moon in 2019, exploring even more sides to his intricate approach to music.
