In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Our musical journey began in 2018, on a rooftop in Tulum, when Nehemiah just happened to call Autumn, at the same moment she was thinking of asking him to help her birth new music into the world, even though they hadn't seen each other in years. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Blood Orange, Cupid Deluxe Esperanza Spalding, 12 Little Spells (Deluxe Edition) Some of our most important musical influences include Blood Orange (aka Dev Hynes), Alice Smith, and Esperanza Spalding. Spalding's 12 Little Spells inspired the name of our EP "the animal in you," and Cupid Deluxe helped us imagine a world of sound. It is a mantra for self love and healthy boundaries, bolstered by organic sounds, ecstatic harmonies, and transporting horns. This song, and the EP itself, is infused with a sense of ritual, swagger, and time travel.
