Amanda Lee, aka AmaLee, was first inspired to cover anime songs after watching the TV show Toonami. ∙ Her English-language covers of popular anime and video game songs have racked up more than 600 million views. ∙ In 2011, AmaLee was the grand prize winner of AX Idol, a voice-acting competition affiliated with Anime Expo, an annual convention in Los Angeles. ∙ She sings on “Fellow Feeling,” a track on dance DJ Porter Robinson’s 2014 debut album, Worlds. ∙ Her 2017 debut covers album, Nostalgia, reached No. 6 on Billboard’s Heatseeker Albums chart. ∙ She contributed the song “A New Journey” to the 2019 ad campaign for video game franchise League of Legends.
