In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my fondest childhood memories was dancing and signing to "Thriller" in my elementary school choir. Yes, that "Thriller" and yes, that dance! Performing is something that I grew up doing from school talent shows, to gymnastics floor routines. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Celia Cruz, Willie Colón, Fania Classics: Celia Cruz & Willie Colón Hiatus Kaiyote, Choose Your Weapon James Horner, Avatar (Music from the Motion Picture) Nai's voice, the production, & its fusion of modern & indigenous sounds is truly intoxicating; Celia & Willie reminds me of my childhood & warm my heart; Avatar is my favorite movie & the soundtrack is beautiful. Tell us why you chose this song. “Palo Santo” Palo Santo is the perfect way to start your days & set an intention. As someone who is working on unlearning negative beliefs as an adult, this song is just that. Palo Santo is the single that started my solo career, I will always cherish it. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of my most memorable moments was collaborating with Audry Funk on three singles. She is someone I look up to and it was amazing hosting her and working together. What a dream come true! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? SO MANY GOALS! I just sent in my application to become a Grammy Voting Member so manifesting & crossing my fingers on that. Overall, I just hope to be able to sustainable live of my artistry & collaborate with as many incredible people as possible.
