About Albert Cummings
Albert Cummings is an American blues guitarist, singer/songwriter, and award-winning master builder from Massachussetts. His playing style weds the funky, rave-up R&B stylings of Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughan to the boundary-less blues-rock improvisation of Jimi Hendrix with a nod to Freddie King's resonant phrasing. Further, he is a powerful vocalist possessed of a rich, expressive baritone. After hearing him play, bassist Tommy Shannon and drummer Chris Layton co-produced 2001's From the Heart. 2006's Working Man peaked inside the Top Ten on the blues charts and established Cummings as a touring headliner. 2012's No Regrets peaked at five. In 2015, he issued the number two smash Someone Like You, and 2020's soul-blues revue-styled Believe also peaked at number two. 2022's Ten rose to number one on the blues charts; the star-studded 2024 release Strong debuted in the top spot.
