Brooklyn's Activity blend post-punk and electronics as eloquently as they blur the boundaries between ominous and comforting moods. With their 2020 debut Unmask Whoever, the band built on the reputation of its members' former groups Grooms, Russian Baths, and Field Mouse for challenging, unexpected sounds; on 2023's Spirit in the Room and 2025's A Thousand Years in Another Way, they channeled the transitory nature of life and loss with a ghostly blend of trip-hop and dream pop.
