Acid King

About Acid King

San Francisco’s Acid King is the outgrowth of singer and guitarist Lori S.’s rapidly read book, SAY YOU LOVE SATAN. The band’s name and many of their songs relate the story of the “Acid King,” Ricky Kasso, a Manson doppelganger who gets stoned and rides motorbikes. Despite the source material, actually reading the work is hardly necessary to enjoy Acid King’s cyclopean slabs of low-end heaviness. Black Sabbath, of course, figures into their grinding, molasses-slow sound and sometimes long, murky compositions. Together since 1993, Acid King have never strayed from their original manifesto.
