In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I formed an acoustic Trio called FAIVA that performs Samoana music. We record classic and original Samoan music using acoustic guitars, ukulele, the selo and Samoan percussion. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? John Mayer, Battle Studies Lake Street Dive, Fun Machine - EP PJ Morton, Christmas with PJ Morton (Deluxe Edition) I appreciate the songwriting of John Mayer and the production and new interpretations of classic songs by Lake Street Dive and PJ Morton. Tell us why you chose this song. “Waiting For Me On the Shore” This songs was written by Chris Gelbuda initially for a major film . He asked me to sing on the demo and I gladly said yes. Unfortunately, the song didn't get picked up by the studio, however I loved the song and I wanted to record it for myself. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The moment I surprised my father with a 23 song album of his own songs that I recored for him. I wanted to show him how special he was to me and that I wanted to continue his legacy through his music. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? A grammy award win would be an amazing achievement in the near future for the category of Regional Roots Music.
