Stephan Koncz

Cellist Stephan Koncz is a longtime member of the Berliner Philharmoniker and of its offshoot, 12 Cellists of the Berlin Philharmonic. He has also played chamber music with various other groups and is a composer and arranger. Koncz has a substantial recording catalog that includes performances of concertos for two cellos by Antoine Reicha and Sigmund Romberg. In 2025, he released the album Brahms/Koncz: Sonatas for Clarinet and Orchestra, featuring his own arrangements.
