Singing along to classic jazz and blues records with my mother — Billie Holiday and Dinah Washington filled our house and taught me the power of emotion in a voice. Performing my original songs live for the first time and seeing people connect emotionally—that moment when my lyrics and voice truly reached someone was unforgettable. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Landing an Apple Music editorial playlist, placing one of my songs in a TV or film scene, and headlining the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival are on my bucket list.
