About Jodi Stapler

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Singing along to classic jazz and blues records with my mother — Billie Holiday and Dinah Washington filled our house and taught me the power of emotion in a voice. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Beth Hart, War in My Mind Billie Holiday, Lady in Satin The Centennial Edition Danielle Nicole, Cry No More I chose them for their honesty and soul. Billie’s Lady in Satin shows pure vulnerability, Danielle Nicole’s Cry No More blends grit and heart, and Beth Hart’s War in My Mind proves how powerful truth in music can be. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “What A Woman Learns” What a Woman Learns means the most to me because it tells my story—and the story of so many women—about strength, scars, and survival. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Performing my original songs live for the first time and seeing people connect emotionally—that moment when my lyrics and voice truly reached someone was unforgettable. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Landing an Apple Music editorial playlist, placing one of my songs in a TV or film scene, and headlining the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival are on my bucket list. Each reflects my dream of sharing authentic, soulful blues with a wider audience
