Carvin Winans

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Singing since age of 4, Carvin made his professional debut as a member of The Testimonial Singers in 1974 along w/ Howard Smith & his brothers Ronald & Marvin he then formed the legendary group The Winans with his brothers, Ronald, Marvin & Michael. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Carvin released a plethora of award-winning music w/The Winans,winning 5 Grammy Awards w/11 nominations.He established himself as a formidable Songwriter/Producer, writing songs for Whitney Houston, Regina Belle, Peabo Bryson & Cece Winans. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? In Sept 2024, Carvin released his Blackground Records 2.0 debut single & video "God Still Working On Me" which has been described as "a poignant reflection on the journey of personal growth & spiritual transformation." Album to be released in 2025.
