Julián Mercado

Julián Mercado is a Mexican regional singer and songwriter from Caborca, Sonora. While he published his first solo album in 2016, Mercado first made a name for himself mostly as a writer for other artists, among these Calibre 50, Edgardo Nuñez, El Fantasma, and Régulo Caro. Indeed, even when his solo career eventually took off, collaborations always remained at the core of his artistry and some of his biggest hits would be new recordings of previously released songs, featuring guests. During the first decade of his career Mercado released nine studio and 12 live albums, as well as more than 100 singles, many of these featuring other artists. His career entered a new phase in 2025 when he inked a deal with leading label Double P Records, which instantly increased his media exposure by linking Mercado to a younger and wildly successful new generation of Mexican regional artists.
