Fabiano do Nascimento

The music of Brazilian guitarist Fabiano do Nascimento is steeped in the traditions of samba and choro, Brazilian and American jazz and pop. After a stint as a Los Angeles session player, he formed the Latin jazz group Triorganico and released the 2009 highlight Convivência. He launched a solo career with 2015's Dança dos Tempos. 2021's Ykytu was acclaimed for its refinement and intimacy. 2023's Mundo Solo was one of four albums by the guitarist that year. In January 2024, he issued Room, a collaboration between do Nascimento and American saxophonist Sam Gendel. In August he released Olhos D'água. In December, he issued Harmonicos, recorded in duo with Japanese guitarist Shin Sasakubo. In November 2025, Nascimento released Cavejaz with a percussion trio and vocalist Jennifer Souza. He followed it in January 2026 with Aquáticos alongside E Ruscha V and released Vila in collaboration with the Vittos Santos Orchestra in February.
