Luca Chiaraluce

Luca Chiaraluce has taken an intellectual approach to jazz and improvisation. In addition to recording two albums -- Estemporaneo and The Origin, featuring his interpretations of music by Art Pepper, Miles Davis, and John Coltrane -- the Italy-born guitarist has authored two scholarly studies: Harmony Handbook of Improvisation and Language in Guitar Jazz and An Analytical Approach to the Structure of Jazz. ~ Craig Harris
