Korede Bello

∙ Nigerian singer-songwriter Korede Bello was a child prodigy who wrote his first song while in grade school and released his debut single, “Forever,” while still in high school. ∙ Less than six months after releasing his breakthrough single, “African Princess,” Bello scooped up the Most Promising Music Act to Watch at the 2014 Nigeria Teen Choice Awards. ∙ His infectious dance video for the gospel-pop hit “Godwin” earned a Best Contemporary Afro Video trophy at the 2016 Nigeria Music Video Awards. ∙ In 2017, he launched the Korede Bello Initiative, a youth-led NGO focused on the wellness and development of young people. ∙ In his first major collaboration with a Western artist, Bello recorded a remix of 2017’s seductive Afropop single “Do Like That” with Kelly Rowland of Destiny’s Child.
